Mr. Saad Al-Hassosah of Arbah Capital, Saudi Arabia & Mr. Mike, Stockford and Mr. James Berlino of Calypso Capital, Hong Kong, visited DTV last week and discussed matter of mutual interest with DTV officials. They are planning to establish a fund in Saudi Arabia that can be used for developing the state-of-the-art technologies related to oil and IT industries in Saudi Arabia. The plan is to house this technology development facility in DTV.              The MIT team visiting KFUPM was on visit to Scietech where DTV current status and plans were presented. The seven member team was taken for luncheon by DTV and mechanical engineering faculty members/chairman. INTEL team comprised of Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Noghaither, General Manager, Saudi Arabia and Mr. Ferhad Patel, Regional Business Manager met with the officials of DTV. The main focus of discussion was the slow activity in INTEL activities in the INTEL laboratory located in DTV. It was urged that the boundaries of INTEL activities in DTV should be pushed and new dimensions should be added. It was agreed by INTEL officials to review the activities and with first time appointed General Manager for Saudi Arabia the activities are expected to be increased.            Mr. Teruyoshi Minaki, Board Member, Director, Executive Vice President, Yokogawa Electric Corporation, visited KFUPM and was call upon by HE The Rector. The Yokogawa global activities and the planned activities of Yokogawa in newly established Yokogawa building in DTV were focal point of discussion.  The details of Yokogawa building inauguration in March 2008 were also discussed.            DTV management team headed by Dr. Faleh Al-Sulaiman, Vice Rector, DTV met with Saudi Aramco Officials and discussed the details of Saudi Aramco involvement in DTV. The Saudi Aramco team was headed by Mr. Essam Al-Baiyat, Senior Vice President New Business Evaluation & Development Department (NBED) and other high Saudi Aramco Officials. It was decided that Saudi Aramco team will discuss the matter internally and get back to us by the end of November 2007.
