OVERVIEW

The consulting Services Center at the university facilitate the consulting services for the university faculty to serve the industrial community in the Kingdom which contribute to the professional development of the faculty and help the outside community to resolve problems which  require high intellectual and  technological background.. The University sees a great value in activities outside the University that advance and communicate knowledge through interaction with industry, government, and the public sector through community and professional services. It is expected such interaction would contribute to both the professional development of the faculty members and to the university stature by providing practical applications and state-of-the art  course content. The interaction would improve quality of research, design projects, and would provide more training and employment opportunities for students.

 The university expects faculty members to interact with the outside community, offering  the community  professional services related to their academic expertise. The interaction, however, should be consistent with the full time employment of faculty members and must not affect their obligations with the University.

Professional interaction with community would contribute to solving technical problems of the industry, and encourage the industry to spur of creative thinking and intellectual power of faculty. Such activities result in local economy advancement and nationalization of expertise.
