Liaison Office
MISSION:
The mission of the proposed KFUPM Liaison office
is to facilitate and promote the University capabilities, expertise
and services to the local industries and to be the focal point of contact with the
industry/business.
GOALS:
- Improving communication and understanding between industry/business
and the University
- Improving the transfer of information between industry/business and
the University
- Developing a win-win relationship between industry/business and the
University
- Exploring the opportunities for students training, sponsoring and
employment
- Exploring the possibilities of associating faculty members with
industry/business for on-site practice and consultation
- Exploring the needs of industry/business that the University can
fulfill
- Encouraging the involvement of industry/business in the development
and fulfillment of the University needs
- Increasing the potential for and assisting in the commercialization
of new technology and patents
- Encouraging the establishment of programs, which provide
opportunities for faculty,
- Students and other researchers to engage
in entrepreneurial activity
- Facilitating and implementing arrangements with other agencies and
associations involved in technology transfer and development
- Undertaking marketing, awareness and information campaigns about
KFUPM capabilities, expertise and services
